據悉，英文版涼涼由上海外國語大學的一個叫做Melody C2E的社團演唱的。迄今為止，Melody C2E社團已將《涼涼》、《旋木》、《十年》等60多首熱門中文歌翻唱成英文，將中國的動人旋律傳遞給全世界。有網友稱，在巴黎的出租車上也能聽見他們的歌聲。MelodyC2E 由一群熱愛英語和音樂的上外學生創立，主打每周一首英文版中文歌，并附上演唱。堅持一段押一個韻，保留、提升原歌的音韻美，希望全世界的人都能欣賞到中文歌曲的動人故事和動聽旋律。
